CASA volunteers build strong, meaningful relationships with the children they serve through regular visits and quality time, giving children the opportunity to be truly heard, understood, and supported. Volunteers communicate with the many people involved in a child’s life and provide judges with informed, first-hand recommendations based on what they learn about the child’s needs and best interests.
Unlike social workers and attorneys, who often divide their attention among many cases, CASA volunteers are assigned to one case at a time. This allows them to be a consistent, trusted presence for the children and families they serve and to advocate for what is truly in the child’s best interest.
Through the support of Lake Area United Way, CASA for Children – Muskogee is able to help more children receive the advocacy, support, and stability they deserve. Together, we are giving vulnerable children a voice and helping them move toward safe, permanent, and healthy futures.
